SERI KEMBANGAN: Ministry of Health Malaysia had identified 14 new clusters this Thursday.
It's involved eight workplaces clusters, two community clusters, education sector clusters including one MOE educational institution cluster, one high-risk group cluster, and a religious cluster respectively.
Details of the new clusters from the Ministry of Health Malaysia the press release;
1. Jalan Batu Arang Selangor (Work Place Cluster)
This workplace cluster involves the district of Gombak in Selangor.
This cluster was reported positive for COVID-19 on 6 May 2021 as a result of targeted screening of workers of a factory located at Jalan Batu Arang, Rawang, Gombak.
As of 6 May 2021, a total of 27 individuals had been screened, of which 15 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
2. Industri Platinum Selangor (Work Place Cluster)
This workplace cluster involves the district of Kuala Selangor in Selangor.
Cases in this cluster were reported positive for COVID-19 on 6 May 2021 as a result of targeted screening of employees of a factory located at Jalan Platinum, Batu 22 Industrial Estate, Kuala Selangor.
As of May 6, 2021, a total of 51 individuals have been screened, of which 10 cases tested positive for COVID-19 in this cluster
3. Persiaran Meru Raya Perak (Work Place Cluster)
This workplace cluster involves the Kinta and Manjung districts in Perak.
This cluster involves employees of an accommodation center located near Persiaran Meru Raya, Ipoh, Kinta.
As of May 6, 2021, a total of 45 individuals had been screened, of which 14 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
4. Persiaran Greentown Tujuh Perak (Work Place Cluster)
This workplace cluster involves the Kinta and Larut, Matang, and Selama districts in Perak.
This cluster involves employees of a restaurant located at Persiaran Greentown 7, Ipoh, Kinta.
As of 6 May 2021, a total of 39 individuals had been screened, of which 11 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
5. Jalan Temangan Kelantan (Work Place Cluster)
This workplace cluster involves Machang district in Kelantan.
This cluster involves employees of a supermarket located at Jalan Temangan, Kampung Pemanok, Machang.
As of May 6, 2021, a total of 15 individuals had been screened, of which nine cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
6. Jalan Pertama Empat Johor (Work Place Cluster)
This workplace cluster involves the district of Johor Bahru in Johor.
This cluster involves the staff of a service company located at Jalan Pertama 4, Johor Bahru.
As of 6 May 2021, a total of 45 individuals had been screened, of which eight cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.

7. Industri Lengkuk Teknologi Negeri Sembilan (Work Place Cluster)
This workplace cluster involves the districts of Seremban and Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan.
Cases in this cluster were reported positive for COVID-19 starting on 4 May 2021 as a result of targeted screening of employees of a factory located at Lengkuk Teknologi 2, Bandar Baru Enstek, Seremban.
As of May 6, 2021, a total of 335 individuals had been screened, of which 64 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
8. Jalan Tunku Sabah (Work Place Cluster)
This workplace cluster involves the districts of Kota Kinabalu, Papar, Putatan, and Penampang in Sabah.
This cluster involves the staff of a public administration center located at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Karamunsing, Kota Kinabalu.
As of May 6, 2021, a total of 129 individuals had been screened, of which 10 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
9. Kampung Chat Kelantan ( Community)
This community cluster involves the district of Pasir Mas in Kelantan.
The index case for this cluster (i.e. case 401321) was reported positive for COVID-19 on 28
April 2021 as a result of symptomatic individual screening.
The name of this cluster refers to the locality where the spread of cases is reported to occur, namely in Kampung Chat, Pasir Mas.
As of 6 May 2021, a total of 79 individuals have been screened, of which 17 cases tested positive for COVID-19 in this cluster
10. Indera Mahkota Lima Pahang (Community)
This community cluster involves the district of Kuantan in Pahang.
The index case for this cluster (i.e. case 401532) was reported positive for COVID-19 on 28 April 2021 as a result of symptomatic individual screening.
The name of this cluster refers to the locality where the transmission of cases was reported to occur, namely at Lorong Indera Mahkota 5/7, Bandar Indera Mahkota, Kuantan.
As of 6 May 2021, a total of 301 individuals had been screened, of which 18 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
11. Jalan Sungai Merab Selangor (MOE educational institution cluster)
This cluster of KPM educational institutions involves the districts of Hulu Langat and Sepang in Selangor.
This cluster involves the staff and students of a school located at Jalan Sungai Merab, Kajang, Hulu Langat.
As of May 6, 2021, a total of 295 individuals had been screened, of which 10 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
12. Jalan Teknologi Kota Damansara Selangor (Education sector cluster)
This education cluster involves the Petaling district in Selangor.
Cases in this cluster were reported positive for COVID-19 on 4 May 2021 as a result of targeted screening of staff and students of an education center located at Jalan Teknologi 3/9, Kota Damansara, Petaling.
As of May 6, 2021, a total of 229 individuals had been screened, of which 58 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
13. Jalan Korma Johor Kumpulan (High-risk group cluster)
This cluster of high-risk groups involves the district of Batu Pahat in Johor.
This cluster involves the staff of a medical center located at Jalan Korma, Taman Soga, Batu Pahat.
As of 6 May 2021, a total of 477 individuals had been screened, of which 25 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
14. Dah Lubuk Emas Kedah (Religious cluster)
This religious cluster involves the Bandar Baharu district in Kedah.
The name of this cluster refers to the locality where the spread of cases is reported to occur, namely in Taman Kelisa Emas, Lubuk Buntar, Bandar Baharu.
As of 6 May 2021, a total of 28 individuals had been screened, of which 12 cases were detected positive for COVID-19 in this cluster.
