6,075 COVID-19 cases in the country, the highest since the pandemic began

Kuala Lumpur - Today, Malaysia recorded 6,075 COVID-19 cases, the most since the pandemic started last year.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the world to date is 485,496.
Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Director-General of Health, reported that Selangor still had the largest regular number of cases with 2,251 cases.
Johor, with 699 incidents, was followed by Kuala Lumpur (660), Kelantan (441), and Sarawak (323).

Meanwhile, there were 46 additional death cases, bringing the total number of death cases to 2,040.The estimated number of active infectious cases was 47,340.
The number of cured cases has increased to 3,516, bringing the total number of cured cases to 436,116.
To date, 559 patients are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 303 requiring respiratory support.
