COVID-19: 6,320 new cases, 50 deaths, total cases exceeding 500,000

Kuala Lumpur - A total of 6,320 new COVID-19 cases have been registered by Malaysia today, the current total amount being 505,115.


In addition, a total of 50 new deaths were reported in the Ministry of Health (MOH), making a total of 2199 combined cases.


Including its new cases registered, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Health Director General of the Republic of Sri Lanka, reported that three cases of non-citizen foreign importation were received.

He said at the Saturday press conference that "active cases of COVID-19 infection now total 53,682."


The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is currently treating 652 patients. 370 patients out of this total need respiratory help.


In the meantime, the number of cases cured has increased by 4,694 today, with a cumulative number of cases cured now reaching 449,234.


In the meantime, 17 new clusters were also revealed by the MOH.
