Kuala Lumpur - Today, May 25, 2021, we set a new milestone for the most new Covid-19 cases recorded in a single day, with 7,289 cases reported.
The old record of 6,806 new cases in a day was surpassed on May 20, 2021.
Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Malaysia's health director-general, has cautioned the

public to brace for the worst, citing an exponential increase in Covid-19 incidents.
He observes that the pattern of big leaps in cases can result in a vertical surge.
Our hospitals are now at peak, and the rapid growth in Covid-19 patients threatens to overwhelm the whole infrastructure.
Dr. Noor Hisham encourages anyone who is willing to work from home to do so and to restrict their outings.
Many who want to apply for Phase 2 of the AZ vaccine will do so as well.
