COVID-19: Malaysia records the highest number of deaths

Kuala Lumpur- Malaysia has the largest new COVID-19 death toll today, with 45 deaths, taking the total number of deaths from the virus to 1,947.
At the same time, 4,446 new cases were reported in the region, taking the total number of cases to 474,556.
Selangor had the largest daily rise of 1,650 cases, accompanied by Sarawak (433 cases), Johor (391 cases), Kelantan (343 cases), and Kuala Lumpur (343 cases) (297 cases).

Meanwhile, the cumulative number of active cases in the country has risen to 43,506 as of today.
The highest number of cured cases was 2, 784, bringing the total number of cured cases to 429,103.
Currently, 522 patients are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with 273 requiring respiratory assistance.
