SERI KEMBANGAN: With Malaysia once again breaking a record for daily Covid-19 cases, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah warns that the next two weeks are critical because the worst is yet to come.
Following a continuous increase in new cases, the Director-General of Health warned Malaysians to brace themselves for the worst.
“The increase in cases began on April 1 and could result in a vertical surge. We must brace ourselves for the worst-case scenario. Please assist us by remaining at home. Only by working together can we break the chain of infection,” he said in a tweet yesterday.
In the event of an emergency or attendance at work, Dr. Noor Hisham advised the public to stay at home and strictly follow the standard operating procedure.
Malaysia recorded the highest Covid-19 cases with 7,289 cases.
